Broadly speaking you will need to have studied up to GCSE/IGCSE or equivalent and attained good grades in at least five subjects. See our entry requirements section for further information.
A full range of options related to the foundation programme you have studied are available for an undergraduate degree at well established and leading UK universities.
Most UK universities recognise our programme and have accepted our students. For a list of universities that have accepted students from Cambridge Seminars, see under ‘University Placements’ section.
Most of our students are in the 16 to 21 years age range.
There are two options for accommodation. We will arrange accommodation for you with one of our host families. Alternatively, we can give you guidance to arrange self-catering accommodation yourself.
Yes, we do have an airport pick-up facility. This must be booked separately and there is an additional charge for this service.
We provide the offer letter that is supporting documentation for your visa. We will also give you general advice about the visa application process.
Our courses start in September and January each year. Please contact us if you cannot start at these times. We may be able to offer alternative times.
This is dependent upon the course. Foundation Programme and GCSEs are one year long courses. A-Levels can be studied in one year, 18 months or two years, depending upon the students’ previous qualifications, their ability and requirements.
This is assessed based on coursework throughout the year, a final examination and attendance.
Yes, we provide full support in giving career advice and making university applications through UCAS.
Our students are from a wide range of countries and backgrounds. We do not focus on any one country. As an example, over the past few years we have had students from UK, EU, China, Greece, Iran, Japan, Kenya, Korea, Malaysia, Mexico, Nigeria, Pakistan, Ukraine, Qatar, UAE, Saudi Arabia and USA.
During the Christmas and Easter holidays students can go home.
Yes, we provide assistance and guidance in opening a bank account.
This is dependent upon the course. See our fees section for current pricing.
Payment is usually made in instalments and can be made by cash, UK sterling cheque, or by bank transfer.
All our scheduled courses are full-time and will be a minimum of 15 hours of classroom teaching.
One of the key benefits of our courses is our small class sizes. A typical class will be between four to six students and we never exceed 10 students.
If you are an international student on a full-time course, then you are entitled to work up to 20 hours part-time. However, we do not encourage this, if it is likely to affect your education.
International students must have a recognised English language qualification for entry to our college. These may be IGCSE English, IELTS, TOEFL or other equivalent qualifications.
It may be necessary for you to take IELTS with us prior to joining a university. We shall advise you on this. All our Foundation Programmes include English Language teaching leading up the IELTS examination, where necessary.
Yes, we will provide a certificate to all successful students on our University Foundation programme. GCSE and A level students will obtain their certificates through the external examining boards.
