This course is designed to prepare students for an undergraduate programme in Media & Mass Communications. It will cover a range of topics that will develop students' understanding and skills for a degree in Media and related courses. The course material is taught based on the A-Level specification.

Media & Mass Communications is about providing an understanding of communication through various channels that includes film, TV, newspapers, magazines, internet and other printed and electronic material.

A career in any of the above areas requires academic qualifications in Media & Mass Communications. In today's world, the communication of information and ideas to the audience has become a critical part of our daily lives and this will continue to be reinforced by the world wide usage of the web as a communication and interaction tool

A career in this industry can be far reaching from being a journalist to a film writer, graphic designer or web developer.

Students aspiring to follow this career route will not only require strong language skills but also skills in being able to use the computer and its related software applications.
