This course is designed to prepare students for an undergraduate programme in Business. It will cover a range of topics that will develop students' understanding and skills for a degree in Business related subjects. The course material is taught from the A-Level syllabus, but is more tailored for a Business Studies degree

Business Studies is the combined academic study of accounting, economics, finance, marketing and organisational behaviour.
The study of Business Studies gives a student a broad understanding of how the business world works. This gives the student the chance to develop knowledge, understanding and skills relating to:

•    The economic environment in which business operates.
•    The contribution that organisations make to the creation of wealth and the satisfaction of     human needs and wants.
•    The nature and role of enterprise and managerial behaviour.

This broad based subject gives a very wide scope of career opportunities in many industry sectors. Typically graduates enter employment in business and management related careers as well as entering professions such as Accounting/ Finance, Personnel/ HR, Marketing/Sales, Production/Operations, Procurement, Business Information Systems and Supervision/Management.
